2010 Fantasy Camp A Success!

The 2010 Dabo Swinney Fantasy Camp was held on the Clemson University campus April 16-18th.  The camp sponsored by Dabo’s All In Team Foundation set a record with twenty-four (24) attendees.

Campers lived the life of a Clemson football player. On Friday and Saturday they received class room and field instruction from Clemson coaches. Friday concentrated on defense and Saturday offense. In the evenings, Clemson Legends Homer Jordan, Woody Dantzler, Bennie Cunningham, Whitey Jordan, and Larry Van DerHayden shared stories about Clemson football covering four (4) decades.

The camp concluded on Sunday with the All-In Bowl in Death Valley. Players experienced the Tiger Walk, the bus ride from the locker room to the Hill, and the most exciting 30 seconds in college football. For the second year in a row the game came down to the wire. James Wilson from Greenville, S.C. kicked the winning field goal as time expired giving the “Team in Black” a 33-32 victory.

Proceeds from the camp support Clemson’s “Call Me Mister” program. The program’s purpose is to increase the pool of available teachers from a broader more diverse background particularly among the State's lowest performing elementary schools.
