|
The All in Team Foundation has donated $25,000 to The Family Effect. The donation was made at the foundation’s annual fund raiser April 9th at the Madren Center on the Clemson University campus. The Family Effect’s mission is to raise community funds and volunteers for Phoenix Center programs focused on families and children, with Serenity Place as the centerpiece. The Phoenix Center is the legislated authority on substance abuse for Greenville County, S.C. It is the county's largest provider of treatment and prevention services. A cornerstone program in the effort to prevent this type of family collapse and harm to children is Serenity Place, a residential treatment center for pregnant women, young mothers and their children. The donation will enable the hiring of an experienced Community Engagement Coordinator, and the creation of an effective Volunteer Engagement Program at Serenity Place. Accepting the donation on behalf of The Family Effect were Adam Brickner, Phoenix Center Executive Director and Scott Dishman, Director Community Engagement.
