Clemson Supporter Makes Unique Pledge to Foundation |
|
Dabo and Kathleen Swinney received quite the surprise at the All In Ball Friday, April 9th. The event is the annual fund raiser for the All In Team Foundation. Stuart McWhorter from Nashville, TN pledged $25 for every point the Clemson Tiger Football Team scores in 2010. Clemson averages 400 points per year, equating to a donation of $10,000! McWhorter, a Clemson graduate, supports the same areas as the ALL IN Foundation; breast cancer research, substance abuse, and education for at-risk and special needs students in the middle Tennessee area. Stuart, like Dabo and Kathleen, have been touched by breast cancer; his mother being a survivor. Also, he was fortunate enough to meet John Mark Stallings, former Alabama Coach Gene Stallings son and was blessed by his attitude and passion. He understands how fortunate Kathleen and Dabo were to have had many years of John Mark in their lives and the importance of the Rise Program in Tuscaloosa, AL
