Dabo’s All-In Team® Foundation Supports "Call Me Mister"

Dabo's All In Team® Foundation has donated $30,000 to Clemson's Call Me Mister program.

The mission of "Call Me MISTER" is to increase the pool of available teachers from a broader more diverse background particularly among the State's lowest performing elementary schools. Student participants are largely selected from among under-served, socio-economically disadvantaged and educationally at-risk communities.

Dr. Roy Jones the program director, "Once again, the Call Me MISTER program is honored and thankful to receive a generous donation from the All In Foundation! The donation has helped us continue our efforts to prepare the next generation of African American male teachers for South Carolina public schools. This summer the program hosted 60 Resident Interns at Clemson University, who served at seven different sites accommodating approximately 700 children and youth.

Jones added, "In addition, we hosted our 11th annual Leadership Institute attended by over 200 MISTER participants representing 18 institutions from four states. The All In Foundation's donations have allowed us to close a "gap" in the development process necessary to adequately prepare our pre-service teachers beyond the expectations of their "formal" program of study."
