Foundation Awards Grant to South Carolina Cancer Alliance

DABO’S ALL IN TEAM® Foundation has awarded a two-year grant for $7,152 to the South Carolina Cancer Alliance (SCCA).

The SCCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to decreasing the burden of cancer on all South Carolinians. By developing statewide, collaborative partnerships among individuals and organizations, our goals are to maximize the impact of current programs, to expand resources and capacity, and to eliminate cancer disparities. The SCCA leads the development, implementation and evaluation of South Carolina’s state cancer plan, which provides the roadmap for identifying gaps, goals and priorities. Together, the SCCA influences change and impacts lives.

The grant will be used to support SCAA’s ongoing community education efforts across South Carolina by educating individuals across the state about the prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer, and empowering and equipping these individuals to instruct others throughout their communities.

Kathleen Swinney, “The efforts of the SCAA are very important in the battle against cancer in the state. Dabo and I commend their efforts and support their outreach program which is in-line with the foundation’s mission statement”.
